Continue reading »]]> Members of the Mediateam have been working hard for the first tournament newspaper of the 62nd Multi-Storage KVT. For visitors and participants, he is now ready in Sportcafé De Pimpelaer and Salland.

The editors of the newspaper’s tournament spend their time at the tournament to find the best stories of participants, volunteers and visitors. They are therefore found in the sports daily. The organization enjoys a moment of rest for a night. Tomorrow, the first participants for the 62nd Multi-Storage Christmas Volleyball Tournament wil arrive in Assen.

From 11 o’clock the teams can register at the Sports Café The Pimpelaer. The organization is there all day present to welcome new teams and answer questions. Participants who have made a long journey can still enjoy a night’s rest in Salland before the games.

As of December 27 the first competitions start. The game schedule will be announced via this website on Tuesday, December 27 at 10:00 am.

Continue reading »]]> In only two weeks the 62^nd Christmas Volleyball Tournament will begin.

93 teams will compete in seven categories. Aside from Dutch teams we welcome teams from Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Lithuania and Greece. On the 27^th en 28^th of December a total of 363 matches will be played divided over 15 courts in five sports halls in Assen. On the 29^th of December all seven categories will play their final in a packed sports hall De Timp.

All teams will receive their match program when they arrive at sportscafé De Pimpelaer on the 26^th of December. By the end of this week we will announce the poules on our website. Also all teams will soon receive an e-mail with additional information.

Continue reading »]]> For participants who are staying in Salland during the Christmas Volleyball Tournament, we will arrange transportation to the city on the 27th and 28th of December. From Salland it is quite a walk to the centre of Assen, especially in wintery circumstances. Therefore, at night (after the transportation from the sports halls is completed) a few busses will drive between Salland and sportcafé De Pimpelaer.

If you show your participants card you can use this service free of charge. De busses will be driving until about 2 AM. Would you like to stay longer? taxi company Dorenbos will make sure taxi’s will be available at De pimpelaer and Zusjes de Boer on a regular basis.

Continue reading »]]> The line-up for the final party of the 62nd Christmas Volleyball Tournament is complete. Quintino, Pure Ellende and Erik Walker will contribute to a spectacular party. Don’t miss it!

The final party will be held in De Rackethal/Pand 17 on thursday the 29th of December from 21:00 h. Make sure you don’t arrive too late, because the festivity will begine straight away.

Tickets can be bought in the sports halls during the tournament. The costs are €9,- for participants and €12,50 non participants.

Minimum age
The minimum age for the final party is 16 years. Participants and volunteers are excused from this rule.
Please bring your ID-card to the party. You may need this to get in and to order alcoholic beverages.

Participants
Exclusively for participants of the 62nd Christmas Volleybal Tournament we have a players entrance and a players home were volleybal players can be amongst themselves and continue the great atmosphere of the tournament. Also, tranportation between Salland and De Rackethal is arranged free of charge.

Continue reading »]]> The sleeping location Salland, which the Multi-Storage Christmas Volleyball Tournament is using for the first time this year, will have an impressive introduction. A record number of participants has registered to stay in the school.

Apperently, more and more teams find out how much fun it is stay in the school together and enjoy the Salland-bar at night. Even though we have a greater capacity then last year in Penta, we had to put teams on the waitinglist for Salland. A unique situation.

We have arranged for extra class rooms, the shoppinglists have been updated and safetyplan are in order. Salland is ready!

Continue reading »]]> Thanks to our sponsors Bo-rent and Autoverhuur Drenthe we will have six busses available this year to transport athletes to and from the sports halls. From the 26th until the 29th of December, the day of the finals, 12 drivers and two coordinators will make sure that the athletes are brought from Salland or their host family to their destinations on time.

In order to have a smooth organisation of the this service, the following rules apply:
- The busses are only available to the athletes and their team coaches;
- By means of the law, the drivers may transport 8 passengers at once;
- Reservations have to be made in advance; early morning transportation should be arranged the previous evening.

Busses can be reserved with the organisation in the sports halls, in Salland and through a phone number. The number will be provided as soon as possible.

This year again we will also provide transportation for participants between Salland and the final party free of charge.
