Route

Say you are a participant, a tourist, a supporter or you just want to know were to go. Below you find an overview of the locations used by the Christmas Volleyball Tournament with the directions.

De Pimpelaer (our 'home base')
Penta (the sleeping hall)
De Spreng (sports hall)
De Timp (sports hall, this is also the place for the finals)
De Marsdijkhal (sports hall)
De Peelohal (sports hall)

Sportcafe De Pimpelaer

Cafe De Pimpelaer is the meeting point for the Christmas Volleyball Tournament. All participating teams have to go there first to register for the tournament and pick up their participants cards and Century CVT-magazine.

From the North
Take exit Assen-Noord (exit number 34) of the Highway A28 / E232. Go right at the round about, is it the 'Asserstraat'. Go straight ahead at the next 4 traffic lights (about 3 kilometres). At the 5th traffic you can't go straight ahead anymore (one way road). You will now see De Pimpelaer across the street. In order to get to the entrance, you turn left at this traffic light and right at traffic lights immediately after that. Again right at the first real junction (ignore the little street on the right) and another right at the next junction. At the end of the street, just before the traffic lights, you'll see De Pimpelaer on your left hand side.

From the South
Take exit Assen-Zuid (exit number 32) of the Highway A28 / E232. Go straight ahead for about 1,2 kilometres. Go right at the traffic lights. Go straight ahead at the next 3 lights (at the 3rd light you see the train station on your right). After the 3rd light, go left at the next 2 traffic lights. Go right at the first real junction (ignore the little street on the right) and another right at the next junction. At the end of the street, just before the traffic lights, you'll see De Pimpelaer on your left hand side.

Penta

Penta is the school where Century CVT participants can sleep. For more information about Penta, click here.

Route
Starting from De Pimpelaer drive straight ahead across the "Groningerstraat". At the first junction with traffic lights, turn right. You now see the building of Penta on your lefthandside. Just before the roundabout, you turn left and you stand in front of Penta.

De Spreng

"De Spreng" is the sports hall which is placed in the centre of "Vredeveld". The Christmas Volleyball Tournament is using four fields to play. The canteen in De Spreng is exploitated by volunteers of the volleyball club Sudosa-Assen. For questions and comments, please contact info@kerstvolleybal.nl.

Route
When coming from the centre, go to the "Rolderstraat", in the east direction. Drive trouqh the viaduct and go right at the roundabout, to the "Pelikaanstraat". Go straight along to the crossing with the "Vredeveldseweg" and turn left. After about 200 meters you'll find De Spreng on your left hand.

De Timp

"De Timp" has about the same size as De Spreng. At this sports hall, we use four fields to play. In the past, we used this hall for the finals, but at present, we use De Spreng. For questions and comments, please contact info@kerstvolleybal.nl.

Route
From the centre (the Pimpelaer), go in northern direction on the "Groningerstraat". At the first crossing, go left, to the "Thorbeckelaan". Take the second street right and look up, you're in front of De Timp.

De Marsdijkhal

'De Marsdijkhal' is a sports hall located in the residential area Marsdijk. The Christmas Volleyball Tournament uses 3 courts in this sports hall. If you have any questions about (playing in) 'De Marsdijkhal' you can send an e-mail to: info@kerstvolleybal.nl.

Route
Starting from Penta, take the second road at the roundabout (this is called the 'Fokkerstraat). Drive until the next roundabout and take the second road again. After that take the thrid street to the left, called 'Meentgoorn'. Now take the third street to the right and after that the first street on the left. Have fun in De Marsdijkhal!

De Peelohal

De Peelohal is located in residential area Peelo, near the shopping mall. In De Peelohal matches are played on 3 courts. If you have questions or remarks about De Peelohal, please send an e-mail to info@kerstvolleybal.nl.

Route
From sportscafe De Pimpelaer you drive straight ahead on the 'Groningerstraat' to the north. At the second traffic lights (after about 2 kilometers) turn left. You are now in the district Peelo and this street in called 'Esakkerweg'. Follow this street and take the second street on the right and after that the first street on the left. Follow this street until you see De Peelohal on your lefthandside.
