Tournament Days

The Christmas Volleyball Tournament (CVT) is a three day spanning international volleyball tournament held every year between Christmas and New Year: the 27th, 28th and 29th of December.

December 26th is the arrival date of all foreign teams and also of some Dutch teams. These teams will register immediately at Cafe 'De Pimpelaer'. The same evening, this will also be the place where the party is held to celebrate the start of the tournament.

On December 27th the first matches start at 11:00 AM. The matches are played in different different sports halls, on 14 courts. Early in the evening the matches will be finished. After all these tiring matches, there will be time to relax and have a drink at Cafe 'De Pimpelaer´.

Some people may have a hard time waking up at the 28th of December, but the organising committee will rise at 6:30 AM to prepare for the next day of the tournament. Today, the matches start at about 10 o'clock. Last year we had a participants-only party at this night. This year we will try to do this again, but we can't make any promises yet....

December 29th is the final volleyball day, the day of the finals. The exact schedule isn't finished yet. Later in the evening a huge final party will be held in 'De Rackethal.

On December 30th the tournament has come to an end. It's time to go home...

On December 31st we will be in bed all day, waking up at about 11 PM in order to be in time for the……Champagne!!!
